Serena Jefferson-Jackson, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Relief Mental Health in St. Charles, IL. She provides medication management, SPRAVATO®, and IV Ketamine therapy for adults, with a focus on anxiety, depression, and other diagnoses.
Serena brings a diverse clinical background spanning inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, acute care, and emergency nursing, experience that’s given her a strong foundation for treating patients with complex psychiatric and medical needs.
She believes mental health care should be personalized and collaborative, working with each patient to understand their unique circumstances and build treatment goals around them. Her approach centers on comprehensive evaluations, evidence-based medication management, and patient education, paired with a holistic view of each person’s mental health, physical health, and lifestyle.
Serena sees patients as the experts on their own lives; her role is not to take the wheel, but to walk alongside them with clinical guidance and support as they move toward greater balance and well-being.
She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Waubonsee Community College. Serena is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
