Selam Bedada, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Relief Mental Health in Orland Park, Illinois. She provides compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to adolescents and adults), offering a full range of services including comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, supportive psychotherapy, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and SPRAVATO® (esketamine) treatment.

Selam brings a high level of clinical expertise in treating a wide spectrum of mental health diagnoses, with particular focus on ADHD, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and co-occurring substance use disorders. With experience spanning both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings, Selam’s background also includes years as a registered nurse in critical care, intensive care, and behavioral health, giving her a well-rounded and deeply informed approach to mental health treatment.

She holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Nursing and Chemistry from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. In addition to her board certification, she maintains certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Selam is an active member of the American Nurses Association, the American Psychiatric Association, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and the National Society of Leadership and Success.
