Madison Johnson, APRN-CNP, PMHNP-BC
Madison Johnson, APRN-CNP, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Relief Mental Health in Chicago’s West Loop. She provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and SPRAVATO® (esketamine) treatment for patients 18 and up, specializing in ADHD, trauma, depression, and other diagnoses.
Madison brings a clinical background in outpatient and substance use psychiatric management, having worked across nursing homes, memory care, and outpatient clinics throughout Ohio and Illinois. That experience has shaped her ability to care for patients with complex psychiatric needs across the lifespan.
She works with women and adolescents navigating mood changes that are affecting their relationships, work, school, or sense of self. Her approach is personalized and holistic, treating each patient as more than a diagnosis and taking their unique experiences, needs, and goals into account.
Madison has a particular passion for treating women with a history of trauma and depression, and hopes to pursue research in women’s trauma and postpartum mental health in the future. She believes reaching out for help can feel difficult, especially for those accustomed to putting everyone else first, and she’s committed to creating a space where patients feel heard, respected, and never judged.
Madison earned her Master of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University, and her Associate Degree in Nursing from Columbus State Community College.
