Danna Herbach, LCPC, ATR
Danna Herbach, LCPC, ATR, is a therapist at Relief Mental Health in Oak Brook, Illinois, providing therapy for teens, adults, and elders. She specializes in depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more. With six years of clinical experience, Danna brings a solution-focused approach grounded in unconditional positive regard, so every patient feels seen, heard, and valued without judgment.
Danna believes our identities are central to how we navigate the world and connect with others. She supports patients facing life transitions, seeking deeper self-understanding, or exploring gender and sexuality. She is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming space, with a particular focus on LGBTQIA+ teens and adults.
As a Registered Art Therapist, Danna integrates creative expression into talk therapy, using art as a pathway to explore emotions, uncover insights, and build resilience. No artistic experience is needed; the focus is on the process of creating as a means of self-discovery. She also draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to build a personalized plan for each patient.
Danna’s background spans outpatient therapy, community mental health, permanent supportive housing, and residential care for youth. Danna earned her Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Counseling from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Therapy from Millikin University.
