THERAPIST & CLINICAL SUPERVISOR – Red Bank, NJ

Christina Borghese, LPC, LCADC, ACS is a therapist and clinical supervisor at Relief Mental Health in Red Bank, New Jersey. She provides in-person and virtual therapy for preteens ages 12 years and older, teens, and adults navigating diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, family conflict, self-esteem issues, life transitions, and substance and alcohol use.

With extensive experience in mental health and addiction counseling, Christina supports patients in discovering healthy coping mechanisms, managing symptoms, and achieving their goals. She understands the courage it takes to seek therapy and believes that anyone can benefit from counseling, no matter where they are in their journey. For those facing complex challenges, she is a strong advocate for incorporating medication or additional interventions when talk therapy alone has not brought relief.

Christina employs evidence-based modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, solution-focused brief therapy(SFBT), strength-based approaches, positive psychology, and trauma-focused therapy. Her practice is rooted in empathy, non-judgment, and a strong therapeutic relationship to empower clients to achieve their goals and foster growth and healing.

Christina earned a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.

As an integral part of the Relief Mental Health clinical team, Christina collaborates closely with other providers in Red Bank to ensure patients have access to all available services, including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and SPRAVATO® (esketamine).
