Amy Kowalewski, MSN, APN, PMHNP-BC

Amy Kowalewski, MSN, APN, PMHNP-BC, is a psychiatric nurse practitioner at Relief Mental Health in Red Bank, New Jersey. She provides medication management for adolescents ages 16 and older as well as adults, specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety, OCD, and other mental health conditions.

Amy also offers SPRAVATO® (esketamine) treatment for adults with treatment-resistant depression or depression with suicidal thoughts or behaviors. SPRAVATO is an FDA-approved nasal spray that has been shown to help relieve depressive symptoms in individuals who have not experienced sufficient improvement with other medications.

With more than 12 years of experience in the psychiatric and behavioral health field—and over six years as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner—Amy has worked across inpatient, outpatient, and intensive treatment settings. Her clinical background has given her the opportunity to treat diverse populations and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams. She also served as a preceptor to psychiatric nurse practitioner students, sharing her expertise with the next generation of providers.

Amy earned her Master of Science in nursing from Monmouth University in New Jersey, graduating with a 4.0 GPA, and holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in nursing and psychology from Rutgers University, also in New Jersey.

She is board certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.

Passionate about delivering empathetic and collaborative care, Amy meets each patient where they are and partners with them to build pathways toward healing and improved well-being. When a patient is in need of other services at Relief, Amy helps provide a connection to either transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) or psychotherapy.
