Sarah Simms, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, CPN, is a psychiatric nurse practitioner at Relief Mental Health in Oak Brook, Ill., specializing in the administration of SPRAVATO®, a prescription nasal spray form of ketamine. As the first psychedelic drug approved by the FDA for the treatment of depression and/or suicidal ideation, Sarah integrates this innovative treatment option into her comprehensive approach to mental health care.

Drawing from the latest research and tailored to individualized goals, Sarah also curates treatment plans that encompass medication management alongside other therapeutic modalities. Sarah provides care to patients of various age groups, from children as young as five to elders age 65 and above. Specializing in anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, PTSD, and more, she offers invaluable support through medication management.

She earned a Master of Science in nursing from Chamberlain University in Illinois, and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Illinois Wesleyan University.  Holding certifications as a family nurse practitioner, psychiatric nurse practitioner, and a pediatric nurse further enriches her professional qualifications.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Sarah finds fulfillment in family life, her passion for football (go Bears!), and exploring the world through travel and leisurely walks. She is also a volunteer with a child sponsorship organization based in Uganda, where she has participated in numerous mission trips.

Sarah collaborates closely with our team of providers in Oak Brook to ensure that patients have access to a spectrum of treatment services, including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), IV Ketamine infusions , and psychotherapy, as required.
